While I didn’t take the conventional route of studying fashion formally — honoring my parents’ wish for a traditional academic path — design, for me, was never just academic. It was emotional, inherited, and deeply personal. I truly believe my understanding of style and craftsmanship is generational. My great-grandmother, grandmother, and aunt were creators in their own right — stitching, handcrafting, embroidering, and painting textiles at home with love and skill that couldn’t be taught, only passed down.
I grew up surrounded by the textures of heritage — fabrics being cut on living room floors, beads being hand-sewn with patience, and the magical moment of watching a simple cloth transform into something unforgettable. Watching fashion channels and picking designs to be tailored just for me was not just indulgence — it was early education. That’s where Arya’s story truly began.
